Rituals, procedures, myths and art have been chosen by people to connect with one another, connect with other worlds, and connect with God. We label all these forms of our work with the word "culture". The word "cult" means "worship", and the suffix -ure means "light". Based on this record of our home writer Marie Ana Kolman, we can go on to invite you, along with home and guest artists, to enter our sanctuary of light.
We would like to inform you that from June 11, 2024, the bridge over the Kokra River in Preddvor will be completely closed. The reconstruction is expected to be carried out by November 15, 2024. Detours are appropriately marked. Thank you for your understanding, Preddvor municipality.
The free workshop will be led by the well-known designer of paper flowers, Sonja Roblek, who will also provide the necessary material, bring only scissors. Groups are limited up to 12 participants so prior registration is necessary.
In November we celebrate the wine so the visit to Dvor castle will be in that manner. On a guided tour a winemaker will meet you in three different rooms and tell you his story while tasting his best wines. We invite you to a creative workshop of making Advent wreaths. Tatjana Logar will guide you through the magical process of creating festive wreaths to decorate your home or make your loved ones happy. Participation is free, due to the limited number of places advance registration is recommended.

On the birthday of our greatest poet, the castle's poet Janko Štifter will present his poetry and some excerpts from his books at Dvor Castle, interspersed with music. After the event visitors are invited to a guided tour of the castle and a feast in the Count's wonderful wine cellar. Free entry, voluntary contributions are welcome and will be entirely dedicated to the Europa Donna Slovenia Association which raises awareness about breast and reproductive cancers.
The Kokra Tourist Association has been bringing smiles to the faces of children and adults with this traditional event for many years. This year the exceptional singer and children's animator Damjana Golavšek will join us again who impressed us with her performance last year. She will be accompanied by St. Nicholas and, of course, the mischievous Krampuses. Free entry.
You are invited to a holiday pastry baking workshop which will be led by our well-known chefs and bakers Slavka Dolinšek and Tomaž Rehberger. Together we will create festive sweet treats and learn the secrets of baking which conjure up a real festive atmosphere. Participation is free. What do we know about angels? How are they really depicted in the Bible? Are they really just little babies with wings? We will look at how Christianity views angels, what the Church, the Bible and the Church Fathers say about them and how angels are depicted in art. Free entry, voluntary contributions are welcome.

St. Lucia is considered the patroness of the blind and is a symbol of light that overcomes darkness.
