Plamenke women's choir chooses folk songs and arrangements of famous pop music performers for their repertoire. Their guests will be the Suha Octet from Carinthia, Austria, who has been singing for 44 years and has performed more than 1,500 concerts. Free entry, voluntary contributions are welcome.
Local caterers will offer everything from simple wild garlic soups to top-quality culinary masterpieces. It will not be possible to get everywhere by car, but to satisfy a hungry stomach you will also need hiking boots as chefs from mountain and alpine huts also participate in wild garlic culinary challenge. You will learn the secrets of choosing the right greenery, the importance of individual materials and the processes that create a beautiful butarica – a symbol of spring, blessing, and fertility.
In many stands you'll have the opportunity to taste various delicious dishes made from wild garlic and the cultural program will provide entertainment for young and old visitors. Free entry. In case of bad weather the event is canceled or is postponed to another date.
The extremely rich cultural heritage of the municipality of Preddvor will be presented to us by dr. Nika Leben, art historian and conservator who knows Preddvor's cultural heritage well, as she has written numerous expert documents for the declaration of archaeological, historical, art-historical, architectural and ethnological monuments in the municipality of Preddvor. The castle park of Dvor Castle in the center of Preddvor will again host the Štoflc Candy Festival which was named after the candies that once were made in Bašlj and offers plenty of fun for children as well as the elder ones. At Štoflcfest the entire offer is valid in štoflc currency. There is no entrance fee, the price for participation in all animations is three štoflces. Exchange offices will be at the all information points at the entrances to the castle garden. Štoflc is the best!
The Preddvor Folklore Society has been preserving the cultural heritage of Preddvor for over 70 years. PIFF, the traditional International Folklore Festival Preddvor, brings together folklore groups from many countries who will once again parade through the center of Preddvor and in the park of Dvor Castle give you a wonderful folklore experience.
